Heartland League Independent |
Out of the defunct Indiana based Mid-America League of 1995 rose the Heartland League.
This league played for 3 seasons and was fairly successful, drawing a league
total of 210,000 fans in 1997. Troubles began in 1998 and by season’s end,
the Heartland League folded. Many of the better teams however, were absorbed by
the Frontier League… one of the most successful Independent Leagues ever, that
still thrives today. |
