This wild looking ballpark was actually the home of professional baseball for quite
a few seasons, as the Butte Miners made their debut here in 1902. William Clark
ordered this ballpark to be built, as a source of entertainment for the miners
who needed an outlet for entertainment once they were done working in the copper
mines of Butte. These pictures are from the World Museum of Mining and were sent to us from Fred E. Sagebaum of Butte Montana. |
