The ballpark was built in 1982, and is typical of mid 80's architecture, utilizing
Aluminum and Metal style bleachers with a central pressbox behind homeplate and
a small roof. It is very similar to Beehive Field in New Britain Connecticut,
and many of the mid-80s Spring Training facilities in Florida such as Port Charlotte,
Plant City and Ed Smith Stadium. |
