Hiding in plain sight on the corner of NW 13th Street and Peacock Road stands one
of the great ballparks from the WPA era of the 1930's... Don McBride Stadium.
This historic facility became officially so in 1996, when one of the star
players it would produce (who played his very first Minor League season here),
would be elected to the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.
