With the Oakland Aís now fully established at Quigley Stadium, the talent came rushing back to the ballpark for the 1982 season, thanks to terrific efforts of Jim Bennett, who would never make the Major Leagues but would put up the best stats ever for West Haven. Bennett woud hit 22 2Bs, a Quigley record 29 HRs, a record 115 RBIs and steal 24 bases while batting .278. Future Giantsí Mike Woodard (54 SB, .273), future Aís Rusty McNealy (39 SB, .310) and Dennis Sherow (31 SB, .304) meanwhile proved that this team had some very fast feet as the 1982 West Haven Aís stole over 200 bases. The rotation meanwhile featured future Oakland Aís pitcher and 13 year MLB veteran Bill Krueger (15-9, 2.83), future SF Giantsí Chuck Hensley (10-4, 3.91), Louis Marietta (11-6, 3.31) and future San Diego Padresí Keith Comstock (9-5, 3.02). Brian Abraham also contributed mightly out of the pen going 12-4, 2.81.
