There wasn't much change, after this point, until the 1974 renovations. It took 2 years to complete the renovations to the stadium, that had only taken 284 days to build. Between 1974 and 1976, much of the grandstand had to be demolished. Up until 1974, there were posts holding up the grandstand, that blocked the views of the fans (like Fenway and Wrigley have). Those had to be removed. The structure of the stadium had to be rebuilt, in order to support the 3 massive tiers, now that there was nothing left holding it up.
