Many of the previous years' stars would return for 1994, and perform even better. Jeff Cirillo would hit 10 homers and up his batting average to .309. Troy O'Leary did much better hitting 8 home runs and batting .329. They were joined by newcomer Ozzie Canseco Jose's brother. Ozzie would lead the team in homers with 14 as well as strikeouts (his 139 was more than double the 2nd place finisher) and his batting average was mearly .239. There was little doubt that this was Jose's brother. Pitcher Scott Karl and SS Mark Loretta also debuted.
