Professional Baseball finally returned to Altoona in 1995 after a 100+ year absence.
The Altoona Railkings played for the Heartland League at Vets Field. While
Vets Field was a great little ballpark for an Independent League, it was certainly not upto
Double-A standards. If Altoona was going to have it's own Eastern League team,
it was going to have to build something new. |
