Browning Field was built in 1920 to give the Quad Cities region of Iowa and Illinois... (Moline, Davenport and Rock Island), 3 different professional ballparks within a 10 mile square area. Though many recognize Davenport as the leader of the Quad Cities (as John O'Donnell Stadium II - Modern Woodman Park is very much a part of the Midwest League today), Moline and this little ballpark would serve for 20 full seasons of professional baseball, across 3 different leagues, for 3 different affiliated franchises. Browning Field served as a dual baseball park and football stadium and had a very deep left field while CF and Left weren't exactly power alley's either (550-440-377) *Gord Brown SABR.
