We were quite lucky to obtain some photographs of Bender Park as it looked during the early 1970's just before it was demolished. It looks to have been a metal bleacher grandstand on top of a concrete slab that was tiered towards the front for box seating. The ballpark would see 7 seasons of professional Minor League play for the Sophomore League (which was also known as the Longhorn League and then  the Southwest League).
