From 1934 through 1977, the Tulsa Oilers played at Oiler Stadium in Tulsa. It was one of the great classic ballparks... that was until April 3rd 1977 when the ballpark collapsed, injuring several. In order to complete the season, a makeshift ballpark was built out of bleachers, around the ballfield. It was called "Drillers Park" and was located just a few yards away from Drillers Stadium would be built. (We need photos of the ballpark in this configuration!).
