It is for this reason that many baseball fans find this to be their own little paradise. It harkens back to an earlier time when baseball wasn't about the latest bells and whistles... or about on field games between innings with an M.C. announcing the winner of the pseudo-sumo wrestling contest. This ballpark is from a time when the Yankees spent nearly 50 years at Miller Huggins Field... which didn't even really have a grandstand!... just some thrown together bleachers. This is the last of when you could come to a ballpark and just watch the players ready themselves for the upcoming season. This is the last bastion of "pure" Spring Training baseball.
