The University of Maryland's beautiful Shipley Field is one the great ballparks of NCAA Division I. It has even hosted professional baseball as the Double-A Bowie BaySox utilized the stadium for pro ball for a few home games, while awaiting the completion of their Prince George's Stadium. In fact... the Major League's Washington Senators would utilize Shipley Field's predecessor "College Park" for Spring Training, back in the dark days of World War II.
