After years of moving around each season, the St. Louis Browns finally decided to settle in joining the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Cubs who were already playing in Los Angeles. The Chicago Cubs were training at Wrigley Field II in Los Angeles (and playing games at Wrigley Field in Avalon California as well), while the Chicago White Sox took up their spring residence at Brookside Park in Pasadena California. The St. Louis Browns finished the L.A. triad by coming to Burbank in 1949 and playing at the "Olive Avenue Park Stadium" just completed in 1947, and still without the roof in this photograph
