With no professional ballparks standing any longer (as Admiral Mason Park was demolished in 1983), Quint and Rishy turned to the tiny little ballpark of what is now... Pensacola State College's PSC's Pirate Field. The 500 seat ballpark wasn't exactly what you could call a modern professional ballpark but the overhead was low and it allowed the Studer's to bring the idea of professional baseball to James Gamble. Gamble was putting together the brand new Independent Southeastern League and the Studers thought that this market could be a great fit.
