Anderson Memorial Stadium began its professional life as a member of the Washington Senators organization. For 2 years the Anderson Senators played Single-A baseball at this ballpark, before moving to Greenville South Carolina's Meadowbrook Park in 1973. It was at this time that Anderson began bouncing from one organization to another. In 1973, the San Francisco Giants gave way to the Anderson Giants. In 1974 it was the Anderson Tigers. In 1975 it was the Anderson Mets and in 1976 it was the Anderson Rangers.
