1982 would feature Zane Smith who went 6-3 with a 6.86 ERA. 1984 saw Ron Gant hit a paultry .237 with only 8 homers. Even worse was Mark Lemke who would hit .149 in 121 at bats before going on to a stellar career as the Braves 2nd baseman. In 1984 the Anderson Braves would move to Sumter South Carolina's Riley Field bringing an end to affiliated professional baseball at Anderson Memorial Stadium. In all, this ballpark would serve 11 great years as a South Carolina League Single-A ballpark.
