The left side of the stadium featured some rather tall signage and scoreboard, which had to be topped in order to hit a homer, while the right side featured a 4 tiered set of additional signage. In between, was a large steep hill in centerfield featuring two trees... the closest a magnolia tree. This was all in play. There was no fence in centerfield at all... in fact to hit a homerun to center, you had to clear a set of railroad tracks belonging to the Southern Railway.
