South Coast League
Independent

The South Coast League was started in 2007 by Chris Allen, formerly a member of the Salem Avalanche team along with Jamie Toole, a former member of the Carolina League. The southeastern based league was funded by the Joliet Jackhammer's (Northern League) front office. Though the team operated in the red throughout the entire season, the league seemed relatively successful. The Bradenton Juice were the only unsuccessful team and would have to spend the season on the road, but the rest of the league drew pretty well. Sadly the league folded after the playoffs with a promise to continue in 2009.
