Under the Reds' umbrella, the Peaches put together an impressive record of 87-64… which somehow only landed the team in 3rd place. The team would go co-op for the next two seasons, not coming close to their previous season record, but faring much better in the standings. A 77-59 record in 1937 got them to 2nd place and into the playoffs. 1938 saw the team repeat their second place performance, going 81-61 again making it to the playoffs… this time however, the team had some experience in the post season behind Manager Milt Stock and were able to go on to win their first Southern League Championship.
