Prairie League
Independent / Non Affiliated

During the mid 90's, two leagues came into existance across the upper midwest... the Prairie League and the revitilized Northern League. The Northern League led by Miles Wolfe, was a strong and well thought-out minor league system. The Prairie League... well... not very well thought out at all. However, from 1995-1997, the Prairie League served Dakota and Minnesota. For those 3 years, many little towns across the upper midwest had professional baseball back in their home towns... most for the first time since the original Northern League folded 2 1/2 decades earlier (and not again since).
