By 2004, it became abundently clear to Brigham Young University that the team was never going to get its new stadium from the city of Provo. BYU gave the Provo Angels an eviction notice, telling them that they'ld have to find another place to play by next season. The Angels were looking at being homeless in 2005, and needed some things to fall into place real fast. That's when they heard a rumor that Utah Valley State College wanted a new ballpark of their own.
