Fred Sagebaum notes that many great players called Highland Park home. Billy Martin played here in 1946, Johnny Briggs (1952), Don Clendenon (1959), Paul Dade (1970), Frank Tanana (1971), Rance Mullnicks (1974) and Carney Landsford (1975). Ken Kimball pitched the best here throwing a perfect game in 1951, then posting a 26-8 record in 1952. He would win 3 playoff games that season as the Russets went on to win the P.L. championship.
