The Harrisonburg Turks were the dominating team in the Virginia League's first season back. The team featured two hitting stars, whom only played a season each for the Turks as they would be traded for each other. Nicholas Rhabe who would go on to have 156 hits for the season (leading the league) was traded mid-season to the Turks from Lynchburg, for Louis Cipalla, who hit a league leading 10 home runs.
