In 1994, Edmonton was told that if they wished to continue with their long standing tradition of Triple-A Baseball, they would have to come up to Pacific Coast League Triple-A code. That would mean building a new ballpark. While Edmonton loved John Ducey, they didn't want to lose Triple-A baseball, so they demolished their beloved ballpark and built a tremendous new facility… Telus Field.
