1993 saw a new team come into the National League. The Florida Marlins would be one of the two announced expansion ballclubs, and John Ducey Park would be their new Triple-A home. The Marlins would remain here for 2 seasons until it was announced that under new regulations set forth by the Pacific Coast League, John Ducey Park was no longer upto Triple-A code. The ballpark would be knocked down in favor of a brand new, larger concrete facility (Telus Field) at the end of the 1994 season. The Marlins would move to Charlotte after the ballpark was demolished.
