John Ducey Park would become part of the Pacific Coast League in 1981. The new Edmonton Trappers would take the field as members of the Chicago White Sox organization. In 1983, the White Sox would move to Denver and the Trappers Triple-A affiliation would be replaced by the California Angels (who moved from Spokane). This relationship would last 10 strong years, before the Angels move to Vancouver in 1993. The Angels would come back to Edmonton again in 1999 after the new Telus Field was completed.
