The New York Mets alliance was one that was well appreciated by the city. Despite the fact that 1/3rd of New Orleans' population is now gone, the Zephyrs drew an amazing 368,000 fans to Zephyr Field in 2007 up almost 6,000 from the season before. The Zephyrs also lost a few games on the account of rain that weren't made up. Those games would have brought the attendance figure up to nearly 380,000.
