The new Nationals tabbed the now vacant Zephyr Field for their Triple-A franchise in 2005. Attendance still remained decent at 320,000 for the season, but it was still 200,000 below what they had drawn during their first year. The Nationals franchise wasn't nearly as fertile as the Astros' had been. They did offer one thing however… most of the players on the Zephyrs would soon be on the Major League team, as the Nationals were going with a younger staff.
