When the Beavers finally made this their full time home in 1956, they would remain here for 55 years (after spending 55 at Vaughn Street Park). Today this stadium has come full circle and gone back to being a non-baseball venue, serving Major League Soccer's Timber Portlands and essentially... kicking the ballpark's baseball team out for good. Though many attempts were made to find a home for the Triple-A Portland Beavers, nothing could be worked out. The team was beset by enviornmental groups who turned up at every possible new building location for the team to make sure a new stadium wouldn't be built. The Beavers eventually gave up and moved to a new stadium in El Paso in 2010.
