After a two year absence, the all new Hollywood Stars were back and the Mission Reds were gone forever. The initial problem still remained however. This version of the Stars would not survive any more than the Mission Reds or the previous Stars if they kept playing as second fiddle to the Los Angeles Angels in Wrigley Field II. So... the Stars set out to do what they should have done in the first place... make Hollywood their real and permanent home. Construction began on a new ballpark next to Gilmore Stadium and the Hollywood Farmers Market. The new ballpark would be called "Gilmore Field".
