The Hollywood Stars could date their history all the way back to 1926 when they began play at Wrigley Field II in Los Angeles... a clone of the famed ballpark that the Cubs play at in Chicago. The Stars may have been representing "Hollywood", but in actuality, never truly were. The Stars were always the "second team" of Wrigley Field II, with the Los Angeles Angels holding court as the primary team. Wrigley Field II was also quite far away from Hollywood, so this franchise never captured the fanbase of the area they were named for. This unusual stadium sharing went on for over a decade before the Stars finally had enough of being the "second team" in L.A.
