Most wooden ballparks come crashing to ground at the hands of the errant cigar or cigarette. In this case, Dugdale Park came to a far more sinister end. Serial Arsonist Robert Driscoll had been lighting up business all over town. He seemingly didn't care for this baseball either and on July 4th, he celebrated his independence day in a very special way. Instead of lighting fireworks, he lit up Dugdale Park... sending it burning to the ground. The police thought it was actually the result of a nearby fireworks show but they later came to realize that Driscoll was responsible for what would be the demise of Dugdale Park along with millions of other businesses in Seattle.
