The Summer Collegiate Leagues are sanctioned by Major League Baseball. They are not
run by specific colleges, but are a collection... an all star series so to speak...
of the best young collegiate prospects in the game. Each and every summer,
teams form in the various leagues, so that these kids can show off all the
can do, to the Major League Scouts in attendance. The goal is to be drafted early
in the round the following season (for lots of $). These leagues utilize former
minor league ballparks! |
