Unfortunately that would not happen right away. Weather delayed the opening of the stadium, as the ballpark was still under construction on opening day. The Rox decided not to return to Eastman Park to start the season and instead flew to Morrison County Fairgrounds in Little Falls, where the Little Falls Muskies played in 1933. By June, the ballpark was completed and the Rox finally came home. The Rox would have an excellent season finishing in 2nd and making the playoffs. They would continue to do just that for 7 of the next 8 years behind the talent of manager Charlie Fox.
