When Rox Park came crashing down in 1971 to become a Shopko Supermarket, it was meant with a touch of nostalgia as the new Dick Putz Field rose a few miles down the road. Today, that nostalgia has blossomed. We rarely find an old demolished ballpark that brings a tear to the eye of its local residents more than Rox Park. This stadium has become more than a bit of history to its town... it's become a major part of its heritage.
