Sioux Falls Stadium began its life as a simple structure with no roof and a utilitarian concrete base.  A press box was perched up against the back row of the stadium, providing some shelter in a no-frills ballpark. The original version of this stadium looked much like many of the ballparks of the old Northern League, including the pre-renovated Mankato MN Franklin Rogers Park, Lewis & Clark Stadium in Sioux City IA or St. Paul MN's Midway. It wasn't until 2001, when Sioux Falls Stadium went through a tremendous 5.6 million dollar renovation, which gave the ballpark a completely new look, which is what you see here today.
