After serving a year as an unaffiliated baseball team in the Northern League, the Yankees picked up the Grand Forks team for the 1948 season. The Yankees would remain for 3 years, before giving way to the Phillies for 2 seasons in 1951. From 1953-1955, the Chiefs remained unaffiliated, but in 1956... the Pirates came in and would be the Chiefs longest affiliation at 7 years. When the Pirates left in 1963, the Cleveland Indians came in for 1 season. Municipal Ball Park's final season in 1964, supported the Class A Los Angeles Dodgers.
