Instead of barnstorming his way into Chicago, Miles took the high road and asked the Cubs if they were interested in selling their un-utilized property to him. It would be a win-win situation as Miles Wolfe would get the property he really wanted and not have to go through the process of re-zoning it for pro ball. The Cubs meanwhile would be able to sell a very expensive piece of Chicagoland property at a profit. By doing so... this little deal would keep the big league Cubs and the little Northern League from becooming hostile to each other as Wolfe embarked into the Cubs protected big league territorial zone. While it wasn't the 50k seat Wrigley Field II stadium that the area was expecting, this property would finally get the ballpark it had been waiting for since the mid-1980's in the way of a brand new 7,400 seat Northern League baseball stadium.
