Former Home of the
North Atlantic League
During its prime, Grimes Stadium served the city of Lebanon, which wasn't actually all that close to the ballpark. Though Grimes Stadium was home to the Lebanon Chix, it was located in Fredericksburg Pennsylvania... almost 10 miles north. While that may not seem like a huge distance, remember that this ballpark was utilized from 1949-1950. Not everybody living in the middle of small-town central Pennsylvania had a car that they could just jump in to make the 10 mile trek to the ballpark... which is probably why it was never used for professional baseball again after the North Atlantic League collapsed. Make a note of the clubhouse... the building located just past the 3rd base line.
