Several new leagues sprung up in the Northeast, such as the Colonial League and the North Atlantic League, which utilized many of these local ballparks and even some football stadiums (such as Kingston NY and New Brunswick NJ) as professional ballparks. A brand new Class D upstart called the North Atlantic League which was based in Pennsylvania, tabbed DeLazier Field in Bloomingdale New Jersey to be one of its inaugural ballclubs.
