According to Charlie O’Reilly of Charlie’s Big Ballpark Page, DeLazier Memorial Field was built in 1940 by the town of Bloomingdale New Jersey and dedicated to its first Mayor Issac DeLazier. The new ballpark would become home to amateur and scholastic baseball teams after its creation and remain relatively dormant until 1946. DeLazier Field is a stunning stone and morter baseball stadium which utilizes local field stones in its construction. The left field line is rather short compared to the long right field line in this "J" shaped stadium, with homeplate sitting inside the curve of the J.
