The Lynn Papooses were in the New England League a Class B League which ran from 1926 until 1930. The Papooses held no affiliations during that time (nor did anyone else in the league) as dedicated Major League Player Development Contracts with Minor League teams was still a few years away from becoming common place. Along with Lynn, other teams in the NEL included the Portland Mariners, the Lewiston Twins, the Manchester Blue Sox, the Haverhill Hillies, the Salem Witches, the Lowell Highwaymen, the Nashua Millionaires, the Brockton Shoemackers and the Lawrence Merry Macks.
