Back during the 1940's, Maryland had a thriving baseball league called the Eastern
Shore League that served as a Class D Minor League system. All of the large local
towns in the Chesepeake Bay area had a team to call their own. Segregation
was however still in full swing, and black ballplayers were not allowed to play
on white teams. |
