The 1977 Expos had moved from their first ballpark, a very small and rather cold Parq Jarry (Jarry Park), which was really only the capacity of a Minor League facility. While the outdoors would make Parq Jarry almost unbearable in the spring, it had a tremendous amount of charm. Rusty Staub would speak often of its simple beauty (often trying not to remember what April was like). After this ballpark was transformed for the Expos, Parq Jarry would go on to have a second life as a tennis stadium.
