The new franchise would switch back and forth from the "Williamsport Grays" to the "Williamsport Tigers" and back again. The new affiliation didn't help the team at all, as it continued to play average baseball. The stability that the Tigers brought however, guaranteed that Bowman Field was open every day for business from 1946-1952. That doesn't mean that the team was void of any talent... to the contrary, the Williamsport Tigers/Grays featured a future Hall of Famer!
