The Bills switched affiliations in 1989 to the Mariners and produced 21 year old rookie Tino Martinez who hit 29 1Bs, 13 HRs and batted .257. By 1991, they were back with the Mets. Jeremy Burnitz showed Williamsport exactly what to expect of his future by slamming 31 HRs, but striking out 127 times while batting .225. When the Mets moved to Binghamton in 1992, Bowman Field went dark yet again. 1.5 million was donated to finish the renovations for 2 years, and when it was completed in 1994, Bowman Field re-joined the NY- Penn League and has been stable ever since.
