The Red Sox moved in 1973 to Elmira's Dunn Field. For the first time in its history, Bowman Field would be void of pro-ball for an extended period of time. For 3 seasons, the lights would go dark here at Bowman Field. When baseball did finally return to Williamsport, it was the Cleveland Indians who moved out of San Antonio's V.J. Keefe Field to bring Double-A baseball back to Willamsport. The new Tomahawks would only last one very bad season but produce 3 Major Leaguers... Alfredo Griffin (.275), Ron Hassey (.279) and Larry Anderson (9-6, 2.71).
