Ken Forsch would come to Williamsport in 1968 and pitch in 3 games going 1-2 with a 1.38 ERA. 1971 saw another new affiliate come to town as the Boston Red Sox NY Penn League franchise moved from Jamestown's Russell E. Diethrick, Jr. Park to Bowman Field. The new Williamsport Red Sox wouldn't be winning any championships any more than the Astros were... they did however produce one major impact player as Jim Rice hit a mediocre .256 with 9 doubles and 5 HRs. Don Aase would pitch in 1972 and be downright awful, going 0-10 with a 5.81 ERA.
