Major League Baseball has decided to celebrate the wonderful legacy of both the nearly 100 year old Bowman Field (shown above well before all of the recent renovations ... close to what she looked when it was first built) and the excitement of the Little League World Series in Williamsport by having a single "Regular Season Major League Game" moved to Williamsport's Historic Bowman Field every season... to honor the Little League World Series. In many ways it was like the "Hall of Fame Game" that used to take place at Doubleday Field in Cooperstown during the induction ceremonies. The difference however between that game and this one is that... those were exhibition games and did not count towards the regular season in the standings or a players individual stats (much like a Spring Training game). These games most definitely do count.
